Semper Fi: Business Leadership the Marine Corps Way "Semper fidelis"--Latin for "always faithful"--is both the motto of the U.S. Marine Corps and the inspiration for this totally new approach to corporate leadership written by two former Marines who take the best leadership tactics used by the Corps and translate them to a corporate environment.
To Be A U.S. Marine Comprised of smart, highly adaptable men and women, the Marine Corps serves as the aggressive tip of the U.S. military spear. Theirs is a smaller, more dynamic force than any other in the American arsenal, and the only forward-deployed force designed for expeditionary operations by air, land, or sea. It is their size and expertise that allow them to move faster. Working to overcome disadvantage and turn conflict into victory, they accomplish great things, and they do so together. In the Marine Corps, there is a motto that describes their commitment to each other, their organization, and their country. It is Semper Fidelis or "Semper Fi." Translated from Latin, it means "Always Faithful." Steve Tomajczyk gains unprecedented access to the men in training around the country, including California, North Carolina, Virginia, and Okinawa.
Semper Gumby - Semper Gumby is an unofficial motto for the United States Marine Corps, or Marine Corps wives. It is a play on the official motto Semper fidelis, usually abbreviated Semper Fi, which means "always faithful"; Semper Gumby, referring to the cartoon character Gumby, means "always flexible.
